Repairing the Harm caused by Crime

Watch this film if you have been a victim of an offence committed by a young person

August 23, 2016

This short film is about Restorative Justice (RJ), and how this can help you and your family if you have been a victim of an offence committed by a young person.

R.J. has been described as ‘Repairing the Harm caused by Crime’.

It provides an opportunity for victims to get answers to their questions relating to the offence, tell the offenders what the real impact of their offending was and receive an explanation or apology.

It also gives offenders the chance to make amends for their crime, either to the victims themselves, or to the community.

It can also help in repairing and rebuilding the relationships and trust that has been broken by crime.
