Swindon youth mentoring
July 6, 2016
SMASH Youth Project is a charitable organisation that aims to match volunteer mentors with vulnerable young people in order to help them work towards agreed goals in the area of personal development over the space of a year. SMASH also invite young people to take part in informal activities outside of the home. Their ability to match young people with a mentor depends on both the availability and suitability of the mentors within the scheme at any given time. As such there is always a waiting list, which can sometimes stretch into months.
Their mission is to give children and young people the chance to become everything they can be, sometimes when no one else believes that they can. SMASH support young people and children through two programmes: Swindon Youth Mentoring (ages 13-19) and Memory Makers (ages 9-12).
