Swindon Dance – enriching lives through dance.
Swindon Dance offer access to participate in high-calibre dance activities alongside opportunities to see inspirational dance. Its Education and Development team works with local schools and community groups to develop special dance projects to suit the group’s individual requirements.
Each year thousands of people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities take part in Swindon Dance’s comprehensive range of quality classes, projects, events and performances. It provides opportunities to learn how to create and perform dance. It takes dance out into schools and into the community. It works in areas of high disadvantage and low engagement. It works to support and give guidance to talented dancers and professional artists. It show-cases professional and non-professional dance performances. For many it is a social and fun way to improve their health and wellbeing whilst for others, it is the first stage into a career in dance that will impact the changing face of the UK’s evolving arts industry
