Samaritans is a helpline charity.

On average it helps a caller turn their life around every six seconds. The helpline number is free to call and not just for people with suicidal ideations. Callers can talk to the helpline anytime they like, in their own way, and off the record – about whatever’s getting to them. The helpline is available 24/7/365.

For an immediate response, it’s best to phone the helpline. Usual hours open to receive callers at the door are:

  • Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 8am – 2pm and 6pm – 9pm
  • Friday & Sunday: 8am – 9pm

Facilities are available for visitors with disabilities. Full disabled access is available for all callers and volunteers.
